Volume of New Zealand records comprising three documents: so-called "Declaration of Independence of New Zealand", 1835. The original draft of the Treaty of Waitangi; by Lieut. -Governor W. Hobson, 1840, and a series of copies of the Treaty itself as finally adopted, signed by the principal chiefs in various parts of both islands, with their signatures or marks attested by resposible witnesses.
